9th Annual Members Show

This December, Albany Center Gallery will be hosting its 9th Annual Members Show. Every year our Members Show brings together some of the area’s top artists – last year it featured 96 participants and was a great hit with the viewing public. Participants also become eligible for the gallerys annual Artist of the Year award, presented each fall at the Gala.

If you are not already a member of the gallery, we encourage you to consider joining now to exhibit in the show. The 9th Annual Members Show will be from December 3, 2013 to January 17, 2014, with an opening reception to be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6. Important: The drop-off dates for artwork is November 10th and 11th from 12-2 pm.You must fill out the attached form and deliver it with your artwork during this time.

Prizes, including a cash award for Best in Show and honors to three other pieces, will be selected by juror Jim Richard Wilson, Director Emeritus of The Opalka Gallery at The Sage Colleges. Wilson served as Gallery Director and Art History Lecturer for The Sage Colleges for over 20 years. Presently, he serves as advisor to the gallery and The Sage Colleges. Wilson worked as Assistant Director of University-wide Programs in the Arts for the SUNY Central Administration for three years and as Director of Peter S. Loonam Gallery for ten years. He has been curating and mounting exhibitions since 1975 and is best known for his work on post WWII American Art and Jewish History.
