1st Fridays

First Friday is modeled after a program used in a number of cities throughout the country. Galleries in the Center Square area, along with a handful of others in the city, all hold their openings on the first Friday of each month, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. It allows visitors to stroll from one opening to the next, soaking up art, conversation and refreshments.

Artbreak

In February and April, Albany Center Galleries collaborates with Capital Repertory Theatre and Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company to present week-long workshops for children 8 - 12 years of age. The workshops offer hands-on activities in visual and performing arts.
