The show “Surface and Light,” featuring the work of local artists Nat Friedman and Erik Laffer, will run from June 19-July 14, 2012. It is currently open to the public, and the opening reception will take place on July 6 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Laffer’s paintings are from his cartography series, which he is best known for. They are abstract representations of life experiences, playing with texture, color, and symbols. The paintings complement Friedman’s sharp geometric sculptures, softening them out and expanding on their rusty brown color palette. This show should not be missed–make sure to come see it, and we hope to see you at the reception!
