Please join us tonight at the gallery for our 1st Art Collectors Fair. This benefit is to help raise funds for the gallery and support our mission.
The Albany Center Gallery will be hosting its first Art Collectors Fair on Wednesday July 20th, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be served throughout the night. This one night only event will be held to exhibit and offer for sale various loved pieces from local collections, to the public. The collectors involved in this event are looking to free space within their collections to further contribute to the local arts, and to build upon their own personal collections.
Some of the area’s top collectors will be involved in the fair, which gives the public a great opportunity to see the best of the local arts scene. Our collectors include – Joann Ryan, Lucy Larner, Holly Katz, Dorice Brickman, David Brickman, and John Greenhut. The collections include work from artists such as – Tommy Watkins, Harry Orlyk, and Stephen Ball. The pieces to be offered in the show are great investments, as the works are by some of the most well known artists in the region, and your purchase will help fund our artists continued work and the local community’s arts scene.
As a benefit event, a percentage of the pieces being offered for sale will be contributed to the Albany Center Gallery fund, further supporting local arts exhibition and development. This also allows the gallery to continue to develop programs and artist outreach initiatives, to further fund and exhibit great local art. This is a fantastic opportunity for our collectors to pass on some of their works to the public to allow for their continuing contribution to the arts. This also gives the public the opportunity to start or continue collecting great local art.
Please join us on Wednesday July 20th for our first annual Art Collectors Fair. There will be light refreshments and exciting conversation. Our collectors will be at the gallery to exhibit and speak about their pieces.
