Please Save the Date for Albany Center Gallery’s 30th Anniversary Gala: Too Marvelous For Words, to be held Saturday November 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the newly renovated Home Savings Bank Atrium in Downtown Albany.
Too Marvelous For Words will be an extraordinary evening featuring live 1930’s music from the swing band, Five+1. Guests will be encouraged to dress in distinctive style of the era, and will enjoy an elegant period menu prepared by The Lily and The Rose, “Caterer to the Stars.” Rub shoulders with Old Hollywood Stars like “Fred Astaire” and “Ginger Rogers.” Swing dance and enjoy complimentary beverages. Celebrate in style and experience the “prohibition” in the secret “speak easy room” in the upstairs parlor. Enter and exit on the red carpet, like a Classic Hollywood Star.
Participate in an auction featuring artwork from prominent regional artists, getaway packages, and handsome gift assortments. Each guest will receive a complimentary gift, including an elegant sterling silver cultured pearl necklace for the ladies (while supplies last). This year’s Honorary guests include Tammis Groft, Curator of The Albany Institute of History and Art and Joni Buccos, Editor in Chief of UPSTATE Fashion and Art Magazine, both for their exceptional contributions to the growth of the arts and cultural community.
The annual gala will benefit Albany Center Gallery’s exhibition schedule and education and outreach programs. Reservations are $75 each. If you would like to make a reservation, please do not hesitate to contact me at (518) 462-4775 or by email at director(at)albanycentergalleries.org.
